Individual therapeutic mentoring is the heart of our program. In individual mentoring sessions, mentees – with the guidance and support of their mentors – develop and achieve individualized goals and get support with navigating the many demands of middle school life.
Who We Are
We are redefining youth mentoring… and empowering the community to make an impact
What We Do
Where it Matters
Built around the needs and interests of our young people, our small after school groups provide opportunities for growth and exploration, all while providing a safe, fun, and supportive environment to connect with peers.
Through their participation in carefully curated activities, the young people in our program explore the richness of New York City, all while developing essential life skills as they access opportunities that may not otherwise be available to them.
In partnership with caregivers, our Education Advocates support the strengthening of the whole family’s relationship to their student’s educational journey.

I have seen so many kids just get lost in the system. They really just need someone to trust. Just one adult that says, I see you and I am here for you. My hope is that I have shown them how to identify and ask for support if they need it. Whether it be a coach, teacher or a neighbor on their block, the key is to find an adult you can trust, and then rely on them when needed. I am so grateful I got to be that for my mentees.
– Sasha, Mentor
Miss Sasha was just mad kind to me. Normally during the day when I get mad, the school would bring me to Miss Sasha to just calm me down. She was patient with me. If I was angry, we would play card games and I would talk about my feelings. She would joke around and just listen to me. It was a comfort to have her there for me. She just takes care of me and looks out for me in the school. The year would have been really different without her there.
