Hayley Newlin-Wagner

Hayley is a Wealth Management professional at Morgan Stanley, with previous experience in Advisory at Grant Thornton. She is a Certified Public Accountant and graduate of Binghamton University’s School of Management.

A native New Yorker, Hayley first became connected to The Arthur Project through pro bono work supporting the organization’s expansion efforts. Through that experience, she developed a strong connection to the organization and its mission and has continued to stay involved.

Hayley currently works in Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley and previously worked in Advisory at Grant Thornton. She graduated from Binghamton University’s School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. Hayley currently resides on Long Island.

Sam Romanoff

Sam is a growth and marketing strategist and founder of Sam Romanoff Consulting, with experience advising wellness and luxury brands on brand strategy, digital marketing, and e-commerce. He currently serves as Head of Growth at oHHo.

Originally from Ohio, Sam has called New York City home for more than a decade. He has a longstanding personal connection to The Arthur Project through his parents, who have been deeply involved with the organization for many years, with his mother previously serving as president. Their involvement gave Sam a deep appreciation for The Arthur Project’s mission and a lasting commitment to its work.

Sam is a growth and marketing strategist and the founder of Sam Romanoff Consulting. He currently serves as Head of Growth at oHHo and advises brands across the wellness and luxury on brand strategy, digital marketing, and e-commerce.

Austin Gundry

Austin is a software engineer at Netflix, with volunteer experience supporting youth mentorship and education through organizations including Make-A-Wish, Safe Families for Children NYC, and Chicago Scholars. He graduated from Northwestern University and is based in Brooklyn.

A midwest transplant eager to be accepted in Brooklyn by any means necessary, Austin first got connected to the Arthur Project via the NYC Marathon which he merely hopes to finish with most of his dignity intact. Echoing the Arthur Project’s emphasis on youth mentorship and education, his other relevant volunteer engagements include Make-A-Wish, Safe Families for Children NYC, and Chicago Scholars.

Austin is a software engineer at Netflix. He graduated from Northwestern University and currently resides in Park Slope.

Jacob Humerick

Jacob is an attorney at States United Democracy Center, with previous experience representing private, public, and nonprofit clients at an international law firm. He graduated from Columbia Law School and Northwestern University and is based in Brooklyn.

Originally hailing from Highland Park, Illinois, Jacob was introduced to The Arthur Project through friends, whose meaningful connection and volunteer work inspired him to become involved.

Jacob is an attorney at States United Democracy Center, a nonpartisan organization that helps state officials on the front lines of democracy protect the rule of law and free, fair, secure elections. Previously, he was an associate at an international law firm, where he represented private, public, and nonprofit clients. Jacob graduated from Columbia Law School and Northwestern University, and currently resides in Brooklyn.

Marius Pfahler

Marius is a Vice President in Capital Solutions at Houlihan Lokey, with over a decade of experience across investment banking, private credit, and principal investing. He graduated from Bocconi University and earned a master’s degree from MIT Sloan.

Originally from Germany, Marius is proud to support The Arthur Project's mission of providing long-term, relationship-based mentoring to middle school students and helping them build the confidence and skills to succeed.

Lea Pfahler

Lea is the co-founder of Studio Leo, a full-service interior design firm, with over a decade of experience designing hospitality and residential spaces. She graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Lea grew up between Connecticut and Paris, France. Having served as a mentor to students in Springfield, Massachusetts, during college, she understands the lasting impact of mentorship and is proud to support The Arthur Project's mission of providing long-term, relationship-based mentoring to middle school students, helping them build the confidence and skills to succeed.

Lea is the co-founder of Studio Leo, a full-service interior design firm, and has over a decade of experience designing hospitality and residential spaces. She graduated from Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Lea currently resides in Manhattan with her husband and son.

Paulina Munoz

Paulina is a Director at Kind Capital, where she connects capital to impact across foundations and mission-driven investors. She has nearly a decade of experience spanning debt capital markets, venture, and impact investing.

A longtime advocate for mentorship, Paulina has been a supporter of The Arthur Project for many years, continually drawn back by its mission of helping students build the confidence and skills to succeed.

Originally from Mexico City, Paulina is a Director at Kind Capital, where she connects capital to impact across foundations and mission-driven investors, and has nearly a decade of experience finance spanning debt capital markets, venture, and impact investing. Paulina graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in International Studies and currently resides in New York City.

Trevor Rechnitz

Trevor is a Partner at Vanterra Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on Consumer Health. He graduated from Northwestern University and has experience across venture capital and consumer health investing.

Originally from The Bay Area, Trevor moved to NYC in 2021 with his now wife Shelby (also a TAP Jr Board Member :)) and was introduced to TAP through close family friend Jeff Muti. He has since run two NYC marathons with the organization and is drawn to TAP's focus on youth mentoring, education, and empowerment.

Trevor is a Partner at Vanterra Ventures - a venture capital fund focused on Consumer Health. He graduated from Northwestern University and currently resides in Los Angeles where he is waiting patiently for TAP to expand! Outside of running and TAP, he enjoys doing crossword puzzles, playing backgammon, and working on his tennis game.

Shelby Newell

Shelby is a Director of Brand Marketing at Snackish, an early-stage food startup, with experience in brand strategy and marketing. She graduated from Santa Clara University and is based in Los Angeles.

Shelby grew up with TAP founder Jeff Muti as a close family friend (how lucky is she!). When she moved to NYC in 2021 with her now husband Trevor (also a TAP Jr. Board Member), she reached out to get involved with TAP through the NYC Marathon. Since then she has fallen in love with TAP’s mission of empowering young students and giving them the confidence to succeed in an increasingly demanding world.

Shelby is a Director of Brand Marketing at an early stage food startup called Snackish. She graduated from Santa Clara University and currently resides in Los Angeles. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring local restaurants and farmers markets and long walks with her family pup Wally.

Saumya Singh

Saumya is a trader at RBC, with experience in financial markets and a background in chemical engineering. She earned a master’s degree from MIT Sloan and a bachelor’s degree from UConn.

Saumya first learned about The Arthur Project through RBC’s Literacy Day and enjoyed working with the students. The experience motivated her to stay involved and support the organization’s mission.

Saumya is currently a trader at RBC. She earned her masters degree from MIT Sloan and her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from UConn.
She is originally from Connecticut and currently lives on the UWS. Outside of work, she enjoys running and has completed three marathons. She will be running her first Boston Marathon next year!

Savanna Riley

Savanna is a Senior Director in Corporate Strategy at Macy’s, where she focuses on enterprise strategy and growth across merchandising, marketing, customer, and digital. Previously, she was a consultant at APCO Worldwide and holds an MBA from NYU Stern.

Originally from California, Savanna has long been passionate about community service - volunteering with youth organizations and supporting causes in the U.S. and abroad. Now firmly rooted in New York, she is excited to deepen her involvement in the community she considers home and was drawn to The Arthur Project’s personal approach to mentorship and lasting impact on young people.
